Join Kyle Lavender and Gisele Salazar from LaBarge Weinstein for a session on your first few months of startup legals: get the zen of teambuilding and seed financing legals, and that first set of legals to support your MVP and early-stage customer legals.

About our Guest Speakers:

Kyle Lavender, LaBarge Weinstein LLP

Kyle has worked extensively in LaBarge Weinstein’s Corporate, Commercial & Securities group. He joined the firm as a summer student and was hired as an associate in 2013. Kyle has worked on transactions including Frank & Oak’s $15 million Series B financing, Kik’s $50 million Series D financing; Mogo’s $50 million IPO; Tweed’s acquisition of Bedrocan Cannabis Corp. and its $20 million bought deal public offering and Wattpad’s $46 million Series C financing. Kyle has participated in many community initiatives, where he has held positions including Finance Officer for the International Legal Partnership, researcher at the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative in Uganda, and editor for IP Osgoode.

Gisele Salazar, LaBarge Weinstein LLP

Gisèle joined the Licensing Group at LaBarge Weinstein in October 2009. Gisèle’s practice is focused on technology contracting and compliance including licensing, distribution, outsourcing, privacy and e-commerce. She is also a registered trade-mark agent in Canada.

What is the cancellation policy?
All ticket sales are final. No refunds.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the Hub?
The Hub is conveniently located 7 minutes by foot from VCC-Clark Skytrain station. Hourly parking is available on both sides of the building which are metered by Impark. Alternatively, street parking is available on Great Northern Way, free of charge. There is also a $2 daily parking lot available at the end of the block where you will see a fleet of white trucks.
